Discipleship Lifestyle

Potter’s Gate Ministries is obligated through discipleship programs to nurture believers and build maturity in faith through effective transformation.
The Potter’s Gate disciple men and women including the youth who are saved not only as a follower, instead, a disciplined believer who accepts and assists in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our concepts of discipleship promote growth in the Lord Jesus Christ and are equipped by the Holy Spirit to overcome the temptations and trials of this present life and become more and more Christ-like. The Potter’s Gate’s concept of discipleship requires believers to respond to the Holy Spirit’s prompting to examine their thoughts, words and actions and compare them with the Word of God. This requires being in the word daily, studying it, praying it, meditating on it and obeying it. It is our tradition and culture to always be ready to give testimony of the reason for the faith and hope that is within us.
“…But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear”… 1Peter 3:15 and to disciple others to walk in His way. Jesus lay out an intimidating list of requirements for being his disciple and that is what we model after, it involves the willingness of self-denial and to follow him. Potter’s Gate Ministries put Christ first in our lives to enable us grow in Him characterized by Self denial, carrying our own personal cross and demonstrating love. Then can we evangelize the dying and needy world for Christ.
“Go into the entire world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” …Jesus the Christ.
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”…Jesus the Christ.
